RIP: Italian Club, Juventus loses star player at tender age

An Italian Football Club, Juventus has lost a 17-year-old youth player Bryan Dodien on Saturday, aged just 17. The death was confirmed on Sunday throwing fans into mourning.

Dodien had been diagnosed with cancer at the age of 12, but he made his return to the pitch in 2019. Having been diagnosed in 2015, then-Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba celebrated a goal by revealing a shirt that read: ‘I’m with you, Bryan’.

Pogba then congratulated him upon making his return, and the two shared a close relationship.

“The saddest news,” Pogba wrote on social media after hearing of Dodien’s passing. “My thoughts and prayers are with all of your close ones. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I’ll never forget you.

“You fought so hard, you were strong, an example for everyone. Goodbye, my little friend. RIP Bryan, you will be missed.”
