Georgia 1-2 Spain
Dani Olmo’s last-gasp strike gave Spain a dramatic first qualifying win after the visitors had initially fallen behind. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia finished a flowing move just before half-time to put Georgia in front, but Ferran Torres began the comeback by sliding in after the restart.

Denmark 8-0 Moldova
Denmark racked up their record win in qualifying for a major tournament thanks to a stellar performance from a largely second-string side. Five goals in 21 first-half minutes did the damage, with Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard scoring two. Kasper Dolberg also struck twice as Denmark made it two wins from two at the start of a qualifying campaign for the first time since 1996.

Albania 0-2 England
England made it successive wins to start their campaign thanks to Harry Kane’s brave first-half header and Mason Mount’s fine finish just after the hour. Only the woodwork prevented the Tottenham forward from adding to his tally, while Etrit Berisha’s smart stop turned Foden’s drive onto a post.
