Only a few hours ago the Tinubu/Oshiomhole faction of the APC led by Hilliard Eta released an official statement in which they expressly stated that they would boycott the National Executive Committee meeting convened by Victor Giadom, the opposing factional chairman believed to be allied with the Chibuike Amaechi camp.
What seems to be more revealing in the said letter is the weighty allegation made against President Buhari who, according to the letter, is believed to have been “offered wrong advice or blackmailed into lending his weighty office to the illegality of the National Executive Committee purportedly convened by one Victor Giadom on 25th June, 2020”
This allegation of possible blackmail of the president into giving his backing to Victor Giadom’s directive, made by the faction loyal to the embattled former chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, arouses so much curiousity for keen political observers such as myself.
The question, therefore, begging for answer is: What damaging information could Victor Giadom and his camp have against President Buhari that would constrain the president to capitulate to their demands?
Could it be information revealing details of the broad daylight electoral heist that guaranteed the return of President Buhari for a second term?
Could it be details and evidence of fraud perpetrated by the Supreme Court, at the behest of the presidency, in their barefaced robbery of the mandate freely given by Imo indigenes to former governor of Imo state, H.E. Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha?
Could it be details and evidence of humongous corruption, and criminal enrichment perpetrated and coordinated by the president and/or his close acquaintances?
Could it be details and evidence confirming widespread rumours that the man occupying the seat of power is not the Buhari Nigerians elected in 2015, but instead, an imposter from a neighbouring country posing as the president of Nigeria?
Could it be details and evidence revealing the presidency’s complicity in the prevailing insecurity raging across Nigeria–especially in the North–and duplicity in the fight against terrorism, insurgency and banditry?
Could it be details and evidence exposing president Buhari’s ineligibility to contest the elections that brought him to power?
Could it be details and evidence exposing president Buhari’s actions in the past that should have kept him from contesting the election that brought him to power?
Since nothing is hidden forever, sooner or later whatever it is that is hidden will come to light. We will keep waiting and probing till it does.
