Elder sister of Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile, Damilola Adeboye has asked the Nigerian Millita to investigate her death from a purported “accident”.
The Deceased, Arotile was decorated the first female fighter pilot, by Sadique Abubakar, chief of air staff died On Tuesday July 14, as a result of head injuries sustained from a road traffic accident at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna state.
Adegboye on behalf of the family said deceased left home after she had received a call from a senior officer, who asked her report to the Air Force Base but that she felt reluctant to go.
And an hour later, she was pronounced dead.
Damilola Adegboye and the rest of the family wondered how a car in a reverse mode could have killed her beloved sister, daughter respectively.
On behalf of the family of the deceased Damilola Adegboye has charged the Military to get to the root of the cause of Tolulope Arotile’s death.
Adegboye in an interview with PUNCH, said, “We in the family are not convinced that Tolu can just die like that in a freak accident. I know that the military is well trained in the art of investigation, we want them to carry out a thorough investigation that can convince us beyond all doubts that the incident that led to her death was real.”
