The family of the late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has disclosed her funeral arrangements and clarified the cause of her death.

Aduke Gold died at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Following her death, a viral report inaccurately suggested that Aduke Gold had died to complications from a fibroid surgery.

This claim has been refuted by Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, Aduke Gold’s stepbrother, who addressed the matter in a widely circulated social media video.

 Aderogbo confirmed that the gospel singer’s cause of death was cervical cancer, as stated in her hospital death certificate.

Aderogbo also outlined the funeral arrangements for Aduke Gold. The schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday, August 21: Candle Night at 6:00 PM. The event will take place at Ayoleye Primary School, along College Road, Ifako-Ijaiye, directly opposite African Church Cathedral, Lagos State.
• Thursday, August 22: Artistes Night from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, at the same venue.
• Friday, August 23: Burial Service at 10:00 AM, held at the hall within Lagos African Church Grammar School, Ifako-Ijaiye.
