Emmanuel Chukwuemeka, who is widely known as Sabinus (The Investor), a popular skit comedian and emerging artist in the Nigerian entertainment industry, during an interview with Daily Trust, claimed that his motivation for success stems from coming from a very poor background.

When he was addressing upcoming artists, he said different things can work for people, but there is something that worked for him, which he do tell people about, and that thing is being hardworking, and also, always looking back to where one is coming from.
He said, “I am not from a rich family and my dad does not have a dime. There was no time my father had enough. But, I always tell myself that since my dad does not have, I will have. That is why I strive to be successful and to change my family narrative.”

Further talking, he said that artists should constantly reflect on their humble beginnings and engage in activities that contribute to their personal growth. Set realistic limits for themselves, and if they can comfortably afford something priced at over N100,000, then they should go for it and not pressure themselves.
He said they should however resist succumbing to societal pressures if it exceeds their means, because everyone has their moment, and popularity may not come immediately, but could arrive at the right time.
