RICO SWAVEY DEATH: Hospital denies Responsibility, exonerate staff (READ MORE DETAILS)

The hospital where late big brother Naija star, Rico Swavey reportedly died in, has released a statement on social media, to exonerate it’s staff, following the release of a clip showing Rico’s helpless body being unattended to.

After the death of the star, a clip went viral showing the medical personnel of the hospital recording him instead of attending to him, while he lay unconscious and helpless on a chair.

Many public figures who knew Rico personally advocated for the medical personnel to be arrested immediately for such negligence. This prompted the hospital to release a statement, exonerating itself and the staff.

In the statement, the hospital stated that when Rico was brought in during the early hours of the morning, he was taken to the emergency care unit and first aid was administered immediately.

The hospital also informed the people who brought Rico in, that the situation needed urgent neurosurgeon review and they wouldn’t be able to handle it.

They referred him to another hospital in Lekki Phase and handed over a detailed referral letter to them which they reluctantly accepted after much persuasion.

When this was done, the nurses attempted to move Rico to a vehicle so that he could be transported to the new hospital.

They asked for the help of the people who had brought Rico into the hospital, but they decided to record the moment, to exonerate themselves so that they won’t be accused of being responsible for the situation.

The hospital didn’t fail to add that when Rico was brought in, he was unconscious with Glasgow comma of 3/15 and reeked of alcohol, which means it was probably his drunken state that led to the accident.
