Protests have resumed in the Federal Capital Territory, Ibadan, Akure, and Abeokuta on Saturday after a brief pause caused by raids and arrests of organizers.
Recall that the hunger protest, which began on Thursday, August 1, saw a high level of enthusiasm on its first day across the country, but that excitement has since begun to wane.
Photos shared by Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2019 and 2023 general elections, on his X account (@YeleSowore), on Saturday, showed protesters returning to the streets across the four cities.
