Oyo State Governor, Makinde Opens Olodo Bridge After 9 Months For Pedestrians

The Oyo State Government today officially opened the first half of the Olodo Bridge to pedestrians,as part of its commitment to improving traffic flow in the axis.

It was reported that the official partial opening held on the Olodo Bridge today.

Speaking on behalf of the state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde, the state Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin assured the public of full vehicular access from May 22nd this year.

The commissioner adviced pedestrians to exercise caution on the bridge as construction still continues,Sangodoyin warned that the currently opened section would only accommodate three vehicles at a time once it becomes operational for vehicular traffic.

Residents expressed relief at the partial opening, praising the government’s development efforts, urging the authorities to maintain their commitment and complete the bridge for full vehicular use by the promised date.

Recall, the bridge has been under construction over the last six months, causing some inconvenience for local residents.
