The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is set to launch its mobile app this September for the verification of licences and plate numbers.
FRSC spokesperson in Lagos, Elizabeth Jayeola, disclosed this on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday.
Jayeola, the Sector Public Education Officer of FRSC Lagos State Command, adding that the mobile app performs functions for both the citizens and the road safety officials.
“There is the mobile app that is going to be launched in September 2024. It has functions for the citizens and for the FRSC.
“We are going to bring this to the mobile app, you can now check for licenses, number plates and all that,” said Jayeola.

She also mentioned that the radar gun technology has been deployed and is currently used on the Third Mainland Bridge to catch vehicles over speeding.
The FRSC spokesperson also identified over speeding, aggressive driving among others as the major causes of accidents in Lagos.
“In Lagos speeding, distracted driving and aggressive driving are the major causes of road accidents,” she stated.
Jayeola urged all citizens to join in and partner with the road safety officials to ensure Nigerian roads are safer.
