The Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered the League Management Company (LMC) to be scrapped, saying the entity is no longer recognised.
Nigeria’s Ministry of Youths and Sports Development declared the LMC as illegal and wants the body scrapped with immediate effect.

This was contained in a statement by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Ismaila Abubakar, who ordered the Nigeria Football Federation to withdraw the licence.
