The pastor in charge of Christ Apostolic Church Modebiayo, Oke-Gburowo, Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo state, Peter James has been arrested for allegedly impregnating a 13-year-old member of the church.

The randy Pastor was dragged to the palace of the traditional monarch of the sleepy community, Oloja Moses Ogunmoyewa, for impregnating the teenager, a member of choir of the church.

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, Ore Division has begun investigations into the controversy surrounding the matter.

A source close to the victim’s family, who also has minor deformity, said the randy Pastor had earlier impregnated their daughter and aborted the pregnant without their knowledge.

The source said that during the interrogation at the palace of the Oloja of the sleepy community, the cleric had earlier confessed to being the one who impregnated the girl.

The family added that the confession was documented by the monarch and other members of his subjects.

Trouble reportedly started when the randy pastor later denied ownership of the pregnancy.

The zonal headquarters of the church later intervened in the matter, but all efforts by his colleagues to persuade the pastor to accept responsibility for the pregnancy proved abortive.

The mother of the 13-year old girl, Mrs. Victoria Bernard, said the pastor deliberately wants to deny the pregnancy because of the girl’s deformity.

She called on government, organisation as well as public spirited individuals to come to the aides of the family and intervene in the matter, saying the move will not allow the young girl to be overide by the man of God.

However, one of the pastors, who did not want his name mentioned, said the issue is currently being handled by the church’s headquarters in Odigbo town and promised to get back to our reporter once the matter is resolved.
