A serious road accident occurred at Ajegunle Junction, Saki, around 3:00 pm on Friday, August 29, 2025. The crash involved a truck, several cars, and a motorcycle.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident was triggered by a brake failure of a truck coming from Sango and heading towards the Apinite route. The truck reportedly lost control and rammed into vehicles ahead.
Officials of the Oyo State Traffic Management Authority (OYTMA), who were on duty controlling traffic at the junction, explained that they were unaware of the truck’s brake failure. They noted that if they had known, vehicles could have been diverted to avoid the accident.

One person was confirmed injured in the crash. Police officers promptly intervened, clearing the scene and moving all affected vehicles, including the truck, to the station for further investigation.
