DIOGO Jota of Liverpool wins Individual Award previously won by Ronaldo

DIOGO Jota of Liverpool has won an individual award, ‘TALENT THAT MARKS THE WORLD’ that has been won previously by Cristiano Ronaldo for the month of March 2022.

Outside of Portugal, the monthly award is given to a Portuguese coach or player who has had the biggest impact. Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Marco Silva of Fulham are two previous winners.

According to Anfield Watch’s Twitter account, Jota commented about how important the trophy is for Portuguese players who don’t play in their native country after accepting it.

“Winning this honor gives me a lot of pride,” Jota stated. “I’ve been playing outside of Portugal for a few years now, and it’s always nice to have this kind of recognition, especially from Liga Portugal, in what I believe is a worthy project.”

“As I previously stated, it is always gratifying to be acknowledged, and it provides us with the courage and motivation to continue on our road.”

“Playing outside of Portugal is equivalent to taking our country beyond its borders.” Since my arrival in Wolverhampton, I’ve seen several Portuguese flags being hoisted by fans, as have my colleagues.

“I believe we contribute in some manner to our country, and it is always nice to be recognized in Portugal.”

“I enjoy football and watch the game in Portugal. Obviously, the title race is exciting to watch, but I also enjoy keeping up with my FC Paços de Ferreira and knowing that they are having a terrific season after a slow start.”
