One of the star players in the Super Eagles squad against Sudan in the ongoing AFCON 2022, Taiwo Awoniyi talked about his first appearance and his first goal for Nigeria.

“Good day everyone, for me, I enjoyed the grace of God to be part of the Super Eagles and it is a privilege for every Nigerian that made up the team that I thank God for.”

“The most important aspect of it is that we came to project the image of our country and family.  There is nothing else than for us to fight for the victory of Nigeria.”

It would be recalled that Nigeria qualified for the knockout stage of the AFCON by beating Sudan 3-1 on Saturday.
