Popular nollywood actress and OAP, Lolo accuses colleague of rape

Veteran broadcaster and actress, Omotunde Adebowale-David, popularly known as Lolo 1, has made a shocking revelation about her past, noting she was raped by her colleague.

Speaking on the Say My Piece Podcast hosted by Ogbolor, the media personality disclosed the trauma of sexual assault and her encounter with one at the office where she works.

“I hardly would say this and I am not even ready to say the full story. I’ve been raped only once in my life and that by my colleague.”

She equally speaks on the trauma associated with rape and sexual assault:

“I see him everyday and I get into this momentary panic mode. I’ve had self crucifixion many times, often blaming myself how I allowed it happen”, she noted.

Lolo 1, a trained lawyer who found her true calling in broadcasting, rose to prominence as a beloved On-Air Personality at Wazobia FM, which she later left in 2019 to take up a managerial role in her new office, Lasgidi FM.

Known for her lively delivery in Pidgin English and her ability to entertain diverse audiences, she quickly became a household name. Her acting career soared after her role as Adaku in Jenifa’s Diary, where her comedic flair earned her widespread acclaim.

Beyond entertainment, Lolo 1 has long used her platform to advocate for women’s rights, mental health, and workplace
