In a remarkable display of innovation and sustainability, 400-level students from the Mechatronics Engineering Department at the Federal University Oye Ekiti have successfully designed and constructed a solar-powered stove using locally sourced materials.
The project, which was part of the practical assessment for their First Semester course, MTE 407: Sensors & Actuators, was supervised by Professor M.O. Arowolo.
The initiative highlights the students’ ability to apply engineering principles to create eco-friendly solutions tailored to local needs.
