Brazil Manager, Tite believes that there is a ‘focus on specific players’ when it comes to who opposition sides choose to foul.

This comes after Brazil’s star player, Neymar has been ruled out of his side’s remaining two group stage games after sustaining an ankle injury against Serbia.

Tite is clearly not happy with how opposition teams prepare to play against Brazil and has declared that this type of play ‘has to be stopped.’

Speaking following Brazil’s 2-0 win over Serbia, Tite said: ‘If you want to celebrate the football, you have to pay attention to the fouls.

‘They focus on specific players. This is the effect. This has to be stopped.’

Neymar was not able to perform at his dazzling best in his side’s World Cup opener as he was stopped in his tracks before he could really get going.

The PSG forward was fouled an incredible nine times whilst he was on the pitch as multiple Serbia players attempted to thwart Neymar’s threat.

Despite the 30-year-old’s injury, Brazil managed to overcome Serbia with a 2-0 win – thanks to a brace from Tottenham forward Richarlison.

Brazil fans will be hoping that their side can continue their good form from the opening game against their next opponents Switzerland.

Switzerland also come into the game with one win from one game and will look to cause an upset against a Brazil side without their talisman.

As a result of Neymar’s absence – extra attacking responsibility will now fall on the rest of Brazil’s star studded forward line as they look to carry the burden without their main man.

Brazil midfielder Casemiro touched on the issue and said that – despite their attacking talent – Neymar will be hard to replace.

Casemiro said: ‘We have other players who are playing well: Vinicius, Raphinha, Richarlison, Jesus, Rodrygo, Martinelli… the range of options is broad, which is good for us, but we have to be realistic and accept that Neymar is the best player in our team.’
