John Cena drops everything to visit Ukraine refugee with Down’s Syndrome (VIDEO)

John Cena traveled to Amsterdam after hearing the story of Misha Rohozhyn — a teenager with Down’s Syndrome who fled Ukraine with his family  and spent an entire afternoon with him.

Misha is a non-verbal 19-year-old who did not understand why he and his family had to leave his native city of Mariupol after their house was destroyed. His mother told him that they were going to meet John Cena to ease Misha’s worries.

“When I read about Misha’s story, it reached out to me  not just Misha’s story, but the story of Misha’s mom as well,” Cena said. “Having three days off from work, right when I read this story and being an hour away by air, it turned immediately into ‘We’re going.'”

When Cena heard the story, he immediately flew out to meet Misha in Amsterdam, where the Ukrainian family found refuge. In the video clip, shared by WWE, Cena and Misha share various hugs, eat cake and play with building blocks.

Cena also admires Misha’s biceps, per the teen’s request, and gives him a WWE championship belt to go with some of his merch. They also did Cena’s “you can’t see me” hand wave together before saying their goodbyes.

“This was a wonderful adventure, in which I got to meet a wonderful new friend,” Cena told Misha. “Thank you for giving me strength.”
